Sauternes - Three grape varieties
Semillon, which is typical of the region and is
found pratically nowhere else, accounts for 70% of the blend. This is
the variety that provides aromatic elegance, harmony and complexity.
Sauvignon accounts for around 25% of the blend. It
is very aromatic, sappy and full-bodied.
Muscadelle is a delicate variety that accounts for
a very small percentage of the blend. It has a harmonising effect,
providing a drop of originality to the Semillon and Sauvignon
combination.
